Kuk Sool Won of Clear Lake has been the standard in Traditional Martial Arts in the Clear Lake area since 1991. Our school is owned and run by the World-Renowned Harmon Masters along with their daughter and son-in-law Masters Emerald Harmon Aue and David Aue.
We are a Black Belt School. This means, our goal for each one of our students is to earn their black belt. We teach each class with the long term in mind focusing on forging a path that leads us to our goals. We take a proven and systematic approach in teaching the art that gives each student the best chance for success. We do not have customers or clients, we have students who become part of our martial art family.

Our owners and School Masters are the only two 9th Degree Black Belts in the USA that teach all levels of students. Master Barry Harmon has been studying martial arts since 1964 was the first non-Asian to earn Master Level in Kuk Sool Won. Master Choon Ok Harmon, nickednamed the "Iron Butterfly", has studied Kuk Sool Won since 1969 and was the first woman to earn Master Level in Kuk Sool Won and is the highest-ranking woman in the World in our art. Both have published martial art books and are a must have for any martial artist. As a student of Kuk Sool Won of Clear Lake, you will regularly receive instruction directly from our School Masters. They are on the floor nearly every day.
Masters Emerald-Harmon Aue and David Aue, are the next generation of Kuk Sool Masters, and lead the instructor team at Kuk Sool Won of Clear Lake. Both began their training in 1993 directly under the Harmon Masters. Both have been named Grand Champion numerous times in National and World Competitions, and are known worldwide for their skill and teaching ability.
With our School Master's leadership, our school has promoted hundreds of students to Black Belt. Many of our Black Belts go through our instructor training program and are of our large instructor team. Quite often our student to instructor ratio is 5 to 1 making sure each student gets as much individual instruction as possible. Whether you are a beginner doing martial arts for the first time or you have years of previous experience, our instructors will help you move at the correct pace making sure each skill is fully understood.
Our state of the art facility is stocked with the latest in training equipment. We have an amazing floor with a gymnastic pad that you must feel to believe making it a pleasure to work out without shoes. We have a powerful air conditioning system to keep us sweating just the right amount. Our facility sits on over two acres of land making our facility one of only a handful in the nation with a dedicated outdoor training area for traditional archery, knife throwing, sword cutting, and much more.
